Well, if it’s still in good working order, you might try giving it to a friend or family member, donating it to a charity, or selling in online. Consequently, most cities and towns will not allow you to dispose of flat screen TVs this way. Why? Because even though flat screen TVs don’t contain all of the toxic substances found in older TVs, including lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and barium, they still contain some of them. Unfortunately - or not, depending on your ecological views - you can’t just take your old flat screen out to the curb for regular trash pick-up or even large appliance pick-up.
